Aloe vera can help with a variety of animal health problems. The benefits come from its unique consistency of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, sugars, anthraquinones, lignin, saponins, fatty acids, salicylic acid and amino acids. Aloe vera is most effective on two areas – the immune system and epithelial tissue.
Aloe vera is commonly used to help with the following animal health conditions:
A skin or respiratory reaction to pollens, hair, fur, woollens etc. that shows topically in the form of lumps, rashes, swellings as well as breathing problems. Many animals suffer with allergies, for all sorts of reasons (just like we humans do) and we know how debilitating it make us feel.
Aloe vera helps to balance the immune system and reduces inflammation.

This is a condition of the feet of horses/ponies where there is inflammation of the sensitive laminae within the hooves that causes pain, heat and lameness. It is most common in the front feet although all four feet can be affected especially if the condition has not been addressed early enough. The horse/pony will usually lean back onto their hind feet to try to relieve the pressure off their front feet.
